Basic taxiing essentials

Part 1

Before you start training yourself, find a place with a railing or a wall and slide along the wall or rail for at least 10min, which helps the rider to get a feel for how to turn the free scooter and keep the scooter under their own control.

Part Two

Step1:

OKIdentify whether your stance is right foot forward (goofyposition) or left foot forward (regularposition) . Lay the freelance scooter on the ground, away from you, with your back foot on the pedal, pointing slightly outward, with the sole of your foot in the center of the pedal.

Step2:

Using the same method with your front foot, lower the pedal to stabilize the scooter, so you can maintain your balance while standing still.

Step3:

Slide out with weight on back foot. Then quickly shift your weight to your front foot while pressing the rear pedal until smooth. Both the in-point and out-point feet glide alternately to gain momentum. See below for footmap and upper body movement.

Step4:

Keep arms outstretched for balance before sliding out. (see step3)

Steps5:

Keeping your arms extended, twist your upper body outward and turn your toes outward.

Step6:

Keeping the arms straight, twist the upper body so that the toes point inward and the guide arms and body also go inward.
